<span style="color: black;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="color: black;">Last month I received the new <span abp="15" style="color: #444444;">Bioré Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub</span> and the </span><span abp="1062" style="color: #444444;"><span style="color: black;">Bioré Baking Soda Pore Cleanser from Influenster. I have been using both on a regular basis and I have to admit that I am a bit partial towards the Cleansing Scrub.</span> </span></span></span></div>
<div abp="1252" style="text-align: center;">
<span abp="1063" style="color: #444444;"></span><span style="color: black;"> </span></div>
<div abp="1168" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a abp="1169" href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-NIldXeflxCQ/VvHUuTZlYwI/AAAAAAAABC8/Rp14jHdl_sMogqPypTsCGfUKATFTix3Qg/s1600/Bior%25C3%25A9-Baking-Soda-Scrub-Feature-Post-Image.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: black;"><img abp="1170" border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-NIldXeflxCQ/VvHUuTZlYwI/AAAAAAAABC8/Rp14jHdl_sMogqPypTsCGfUKATFTix3Qg/s320/Bior%25C3%25A9-Baking-Soda-Scrub-Feature-Post-Image.jpg" width="291" /></span></a></div>
<div abp="1252" style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #444444;"></span><span style="color: black;"> </span></div>
<div abp="1252" style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: black;">It is very different from anything that I have tried in the past in the sense that it is gentle yet a lot more effective than most scrubs, and surprisingly I like it even more than my Philosophy Microdelivery wash. </span></div>
<div abp="1252" style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: black;"> </span></div>
<div abp="1252" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a abp="217" href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CG2eAggDrx0/VvGGN2efHXI/AAAAAAAABCs/7esTp_GXSaAgiJ9fZLVcfMVRcZWS3BIIQ/s1600/biore2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: black;"><img abp="218" border="0" height="160" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CG2eAggDrx0/VvGGN2efHXI/AAAAAAAABCs/7esTp_GXSaAgiJ9fZLVcfMVRcZWS3BIIQ/s320/biore2.jpg" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<div abp="1252" style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: black;"> </span></div>
<div abp="1252" style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: black;">At first I though it is going to be really messy to use but its actually quite simple. All you have to do is take some powder in hand and then add water into it. Now this is the most crucial and interesting point. The level of exfoliation depends on the amount of water added, it decreases with the increasing amount of water. So, this product can be customized according to your own personal needs, however, I have noticed that a semi-thick consistency works great for my partially dry patchy skin. </span></div>
<div abp="1252" style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: black;"> </span></div>
<div abp="1067" style="text-align: center;">
<table abp="1068" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody abp="1069">
<tr abp="1070"><td abp="1071" style="text-align: center;"><a abp="213" href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-C1d3jMmBLDE/VvGGNeEJo1I/AAAAAAAABCg/9j3gmTSevbkXqEPWeqx1sgCwajlgnzd2w/s1600/bakingsodahand.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><span style="color: black;"><img abp="214" border="0" height="144" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-C1d3jMmBLDE/VvGGNeEJo1I/AAAAAAAABCg/9j3gmTSevbkXqEPWeqx1sgCwajlgnzd2w/s320/bakingsodahand.jpg" width="320" /></span></a></td></tr>
<tr abp="1074"><td abp="1075" class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span abp="1076" style="color: black;">Bioré Baking Soda Scrub; Regular Baking Soda </span></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
</div>
<div abp="215" style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: black;"></span><br />
<span style="color: black;"> When I received this scrub, my first thought was how would it compare to regular baking soda, which is also used as a face scrub by a lot of people. The two differences that I noticed were: Bioré scrub makes a light and fluffy mixture while regular soda is a bit thick and heavy; secondly Bioré scrub is a lot more gentle than the regular soda. At the end my skin felt better with the Bioré scrub as it was soft and clean but not dry. Also, the fresh minty sensation is an added perk of Bioré scrub due to the menthol. </span></div>
<div abp="215" style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: black;"></span><span style="color: black;"> </span></div>
<div abp="215" style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: black;">Therefore, overall I really liked this product and will continue using it. </span></div>
<div abp="215" style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: black;"></span><span style="color: black;"> </span></div>
<div abp="215" style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: black;">Have you tried the new Bioré Baking Soda line? If yes, what do you feel about it? If no, then are going to try it?</span></div>
<div abp="215" style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: black;"></span><span style="color: black;"> </span></div>
<div abp="215" style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: black;">Thank you for taking time to read this post. Hope you have a great day!</span></div>

This month's ipsy theme was "Pretty in #IPSYPINK" and I received the following five products: Naked Cosmetics Mica Pigment, Luxie Beauty Flat Definer Brush 221, Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Finish Primer Oil, Vintage by Jessica Liebeskind Sparkling Lipgloss in Pink Sequin, and Jersey Shore Cosmetics Vanilla Bean Anti-Aging Lip and Hand Polish. </div>
<div abp="46" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="47" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Before I begin, I would like to mention that this month's ipsy bag was a total fail for me. I personally did not like any product so this review is going to be a little negative. </div>
<div abp="47" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="48" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div abp="51" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="52" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong abp="53">Jersey Shore Cosmetics Vanilla Bean Anti-Aging Lip and Hand Polish.:</strong> This is basically a brown sugar scrub but is super greasy and oily. It leaves a weird film on the hands so I really don't like it. </div>

</div>
<div abp="55" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<strong abp="919"> Naked Cosmetics Mica Pigment in Sierra Nevada:</strong> Just last month, I mentioned how I am not a fan of loose pigments but received another one from Ipsy this month. This one is exceptionally messy because it does not have sifter to hold the pigment in, so a lot of product accumulates in the rim of the container and the lid. Also, the color is just a regular bronze and not unique enough to go through the trouble. </div>

<div abp="74" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong abp="927">Vintage by Jessica Liebeskind Sparkling Lip gloss in Pink Sequin: </strong>The name explains the shade very well. It is straight up shimmer particles in a goopy and sticky base, so I do not like it at all. </div>
<div abp="74" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="74" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So, overall this month's Ipsy bag was a huge disappointment for me. I have been an Ipsy subscriber since 2011 and I feel its the time to let it go because a lot of brands that are sent by Ipsy are not even available in Canada, so even if I like something I can't order it. Also, due to the horrible exchange rate and extra shipping charges, the Canadian subscribers pay double the amount for mediocre products, and the few high end items that are sent can be redeemed as point perks for free at Sephora. </div>
<div abp="74" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="74" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What is your opinion about Ipsy and other subscription bags? Do you have any recommendations? I am looking for other subscription services that ship to Canada. </div>
<div abp="74" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone! </div>
<div abp="635" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="635" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Today's post is all about the colors of love i.e. red and pink with accent hearts. I am not much of a nail art person but love nail polish so I always try to add a bling here and there. </div>
<div abp="635" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="635" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a abp="636" href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MZauzgW8uYM/VsATmKISVzI/AAAAAAAABBU/WpZZMu5JCe0/s1600/IMG_20160203_152451.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img abp="637" border="0" height="306" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MZauzgW8uYM/VsATmKISVzI/AAAAAAAABBU/WpZZMu5JCe0/s320/IMG_20160203_152451.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div abp="635" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="100" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The two polishes that I used for the first look are: Nicka K New York and Julep Hartleigh. </div>
<div abp="101" style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="639" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a abp="640" href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-d7aUxY4KnsA/VsATpTvIhbI/AAAAAAAABBY/9x9nOK6tXY8/s1600/IMG_20160203_152455.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img abp="641" border="0" height="314" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-d7aUxY4KnsA/VsATpTvIhbI/AAAAAAAABBY/9x9nOK6tXY8/s320/IMG_20160203_152455.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div abp="639" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="639" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong>Julep Hartleigh:</strong> This was a part of 2015 February collection and has a clear base with white round specks and red metallic hearts. It does not come out even so I had to pick out the hearts to make it look even on both hands. Also, since it has a clear base so I used one coat of red polish to make it pop. </div>
<div abp="639" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="643" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a abp="644" href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LC-n8VW0ZWw/VsATsaK3CoI/AAAAAAAABBc/LvHfUaJVlgw/s1600/IMG_20160203_152932.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img abp="645" border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LC-n8VW0ZWw/VsATsaK3CoI/AAAAAAAABBc/LvHfUaJVlgw/s320/IMG_20160203_152932.jpg" width="256" /></a></div>
<div abp="643" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="643" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong>Nicka K New York:</strong> I received this polish in a subscription box around 2-3 years ago. Not only it has beautiful packaging but an awesome formula. </div>
<div abp="643" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="39" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a abp="40" href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vb8j3g8hHgw/VsATyo1vsHI/AAAAAAAABBk/8w5ar5_UHGM/s1600/IMG_20160203_153154.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img abp="41" border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vb8j3g8hHgw/VsATyo1vsHI/AAAAAAAABBk/8w5ar5_UHGM/s320/IMG_20160203_153154.jpg" width="230" /></a></div>
<div abp="646" style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="650" style="text-align: center;">
After about four days my red polish chipped but the accent nail was still perfect, so I decided to replace the red with pink and it turned out amazing. </div>
<div abp="650" style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="651" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a abp="652" href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-M0r6RZzxOYo/VsATyWL1I3I/AAAAAAAABBg/wk5A7Lbz8oI/s1600/IMG_20160206_163010.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img abp="653" border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-M0r6RZzxOYo/VsATyWL1I3I/AAAAAAAABBg/wk5A7Lbz8oI/s320/IMG_20160206_163010.jpg" width="235" /></a></div>
<div abp="654" style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="658" style="text-align: center;">
<strong> Fingrs You Pinky Swear?:</strong> I shared a blog <a href="http://festivefairy.blogspot.ca/2013/09/new-product-alert-super-inexpensive.html">post</a> about seven different shades of Fingrs polishes back in 2013. Their formula is amazing in general and this one is no exception, its a beautiful baby pink shade that goes opaque in just one coat and looks flawless in two. Also, it lasts well and doesn't chip. </div>
<div abp="658" style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="659" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a abp="660" href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YzH6DaGPc8U/VsAT9Pa-1KI/AAAAAAAABBo/3rmHKWVPpdQ/s1600/IMG_20160207_115516.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img abp="661" border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YzH6DaGPc8U/VsAT9Pa-1KI/AAAAAAAABBo/3rmHKWVPpdQ/s320/IMG_20160207_115516.jpg" width="236" /></a></div>
<div abp="659" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="562" style="text-align: center;">
So, these are my super simple and easy Valentine's day nail looks. Give them a try and see if you like them. </div>

This month's ipsy theme is "All Eyes On You" and I received the following five products: Beau Gâchis® Paris Smudge Brush, Mitchell and Peach English Leaf Body Cream, theBalm Cosmetics Mr Write (Now), Marsk Mineral Eyeshadow, and P<span abp="72" style="font-size: small;">ur~lisse </span>Blue Lotus 4-in-1 Eye Adore Serum.</div>

<div abp="78" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong abp="79">Mitchell and Peach English Leaf Body Cream:</strong> This is a fairly moisturizing body cream that sinks right into the skin within seconds of applying it; and contains some really good ingredients like sweet almond oil, sweet orange oil, basil oil, vitamin E, lavender oil, cedarwood oil, peppermint oil, etc. To me it smells like grass or leafs, which is actually true to the description at the back that says "blended with a bright 'green floral' scent inspired by green countryside". So, overall it is a decent product. <strong abp="81"> </strong></div>

<strong abp="86">Gâchis® Paris Smudge Brush: </strong>This is definitely not a smudge brush, and it's too big for even being a blending brush. It is very round and full because the barrel that holds the bristles is completely round and not pinched in at all, so I am not really sure how I will use it. Ipsy has actually suggested to use it for blending gel or other liners, but it is too big for that. The bristles are not extremely soft so it holds its shape and is not flimsy. I looked up on the company's website and it retails for $12 USD (on sale now for $10 USD); it is handcrafted using both animal and synthetic hair. But overall, I did not like it because for me it is very close to the size of my under eye concealer brush.</div>

The shade Jac is bronzy but with very subtle olive undertone. It has amazing staying power, and it does not move at all once it sets. I tried rubbing it off as hard as I could but it did not budge whatsoever. So, I am definitely going to try more colors from this line. </div>

<div abp="71">
Let's talk about a sensitive issue today - Acne. Acne is classified as a skin disease by the medical science. A common conception is that the hormonal changes during puberty usually triggers acne in the adolescence years for some people but it fades off as they step into the adulthood. However, that is half truth, as for some it could be a life long struggle. </div>

<div abp="5" style="text-align: center;">
<div abp="80">
I have dealt with acne on and off for almost 7 years. Most of my teenage years were relatively alright with occasional breakouts but the major struggle began after 20. As I mentioned in one of the previous posts that my acne was due to hormonal issues, however, I have also struggled with horrible breakouts due to allergic reactions. It affected my self esteem, confidence and made me very shielded because subconsciously all I could think while meeting people was 'what are they thinking about me? what kind of impression am I leaving on them? are they even taking me seriously? what if they think I have bad hygiene? or what if they think I am messy person or a novice who can't even put on simple makeup because all they can see is dry flaky bumpy skin?' These constant inner thoughts and conversations used to really stress me out and there were times when I didn't want to step out of the </div>

house for weeks. On top of this inner underlying battle, the unsolicited advice from friends, family, even strangers or people working at makeup or skin care counters who have never had experience with full face acne rash, used to feel so depressing and unnecessary at times. No doubt, they all meant well and shared advice out of concern but at times when you are already feeling so low, it doesn't matter how uplifting someone's words are, you just can't help but feel worse. </div>

<div abp="5" style="text-align: center;">
<div abp="90">
In addition, I have seen lists and lists of things not do and eat and touch and whatnot to cure acne. Honestly, its bullshit. I have tried it all, and it just stresses you out even more. Those lists really make you paranoid and super selective of the things you do. No doubt, a sudden significant change in your routine might make a difference but its not worth the extra stress. There is already so much to deal with in everyone's life so adding a list of 50 things not to do is unnecessary, especially when there are other ways around. </div>

So, today I will be sharing some of my experiences, what I learned and the popular advices that used to bother me. Here are some things or advices that did not work for me: </div>

I tried every topical over the counter treatment available. I even ordered some from overseas that were not available in Canada, but they just don't work and if they do, they just temporarily supress the issue but doesn't cure it. So, I would say do not waste your time and money on over the counter topical treatments because they are usually targeted towards individuals with occasional breakouts. It is not that these compounds or elements do not work, its just that their concentration is not enough in over the counter options. And if you ask your doctor, you will most likely get an ointment with one of these same ingredients but specially targeted towards your personal skin type. </div>

In addition to these individual compounds, the whole proactive brand is very prominent on the internet, and it does work for some people. Also, it is not too expensive so doesn't hurt to try, however, once again it is just a topical treatment, and a very harsh one indeed. So, I personally think that the chances of it working are slim, if you are over 20 and still have acne all over your face, because chances are that there are underlying issues so using a topical treatment is not going to help unless the actual cause is addressed. Also, people who have dry sensitive skin should be careful, because proactive products are quite harsh and can irritate the skin further. </div>

The only subjectively "bad" thing I consume is 3-4 small pieces of chocolate. So, I never understood the whole eat healthy concept to cure acne, and it used to bother me the most when it came from my mother because she was the one cooking and knew exactly what I was eating. </div>

Really? I have been given this advice countless times and the reasoning people give really bothers me because yes acne has bacteria and yes it is better not to touch but no that is not the reason. The only reason that you shouldn't touch your acne is because fingers are dirty and there is a possibility of infection, also pressing it can lead to irritation and further infection, and not because you will get acne on every inch of skin you touch. There is a chance that a number of you won't agree with me but I personally feel that advice from youtubers and Sephora employees should be taken at the same level as your friends and not be considered equivalent to that of medical professionals. No doubt, these youtubers and people working at Sephora are experts in what they are doing, but that's the key point, their expertise is in makeup and what goes over the skin, while acne can be an internal issue so deal with it properly. Therefore, consider your advisors skin condition and do your own research before shelling out your hard earned money on expensive masks like glamglow or clarisonic like cleansing brushes. </div>
</div>
<div abp="5" style="text-align: center;">
<div abp="147">
Please note that the masks and the brushes example is for people suffering from full face of cystic acne with underlying issues, and it is very important to keep that in mind because a lot of beauty advisors have never dealt with that, so their opinion is usually based on occasional monthly breakouts. </div>

Do not just do not go for laser skin treatments like photorejuvination, laser genesis or fraxel while you are still dealing with active breakouts. The front desk employees will try their best to convince you that these treatments can get rid of your acne and hyperpigmentation by reaching the deepest layers of skin, but just try to stick with blue u, glycolic peels and similar acne treatments, in case you really want to get something done. Because trust me, those laser treatments will irritate and convert the tiniest harmless acne to a full blown painful deep leaking cyst. I am seriously not exaggerating here but just sharing a horrible personal experience. I would highly suggest that if you need any advice, talk to the nurses who do the treatment instead of the managers or the information desk staff because they will try to sell you the most expensive packages for commission but chances are that the nurses would be more honest. A common misconception is that people with acne have oily skin. No doubt, sebum plays a role in acne but that does not mean everyone who has acne has a certain skin type. And its just not the common people who believe this but also the skin care companies because a major proportion of skin care and makeup targeted towards acne prone skin is either very harsh or super matte with oil controlling properties. So, this was a major issue for me because I had acne and eczema at the same time so finding a product targeting both was very difficult. </div>

Vinylux is a nail polish line by CND that claims to have a week long wear without the use of any UV lamps. According to the their website, "<strong abp="824">VINYLUX®</strong> Weekly Polish is a breakthrough polish that endures a week of fashion perfection...without a base coat! Exposure to natural light activates the patent-pending ProLight Technology™ to deliver week-long wear. While ordinary polishes break down over time, <strong abp="825">VINYLUX®</strong> Weekly Polish actually becomes more durable!"</div>
<div abp="763" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="763" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This line has 99 shades and cost around $10-12 CAD each on different websites. This review is going to be on the weekly top coat and the nail polish in shade Masquerade #130. </div>
<div abp="763" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="763" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a abp="792" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CDTernIexs0/Vo3odu8D6JI/AAAAAAAAA9E/ccu_dWwnWsU/s1600/IMG_20160105_165129.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img abp="793" border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CDTernIexs0/Vo3odu8D6JI/AAAAAAAAA9E/ccu_dWwnWsU/s320/IMG_20160105_165129.jpg" width="280" /></a></div>
<div abp="763" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="763" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong abp="834">CND Vinylux in Masquerade: </strong>It is a duo chrome shimmery burgundy shade with a very fitting name. It goes on sheer so it took me five coats to get a satisfying streak free look. The staying power of the polish is kind of questionable as it started chipping on the very first day of application. </div>
<div abp="763" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So if you just want it just for this particular shade then I don't feel its worth the trouble because Wet n Wild megalast nail polish in Under Your Spell and Calvin Klein splendid color in Opus are very close dupes.</div>
<div abp="763" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="763" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong abp="838">CND Vinylux Weekly Top Coat:</strong> This product was a huge let down. It has regular semi-thick consistency that most top coats have and dries up just fine. However, the issue is that instead of prolonging the wear of the polish, it makes it chip faster. I followed all the instructions and used it with the polish from the same line but it started chipping within hours of application. </div>
<div abp="763" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div abp="1062" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The picture above was taken after about 20 hours of painting my nails. I usually paint my nails at night before going to bed, so this level of chipping within a few hours of being active is out of ordinary. Also, I did not do any scrubbing or dishes or anything rigorous that could have fastened the wear. </div>

A few other brands that I tried with this topcoat but did not take pictures of were: China Glaze, OPI, Rimmel and Julep. Unfortunately, none of them worked. So, I guess I will just stick to my tried and true Revlon Colorstay topcoat. So, for me personally, Vinylux line was a fail , and from all the reviews that I have seen, it either works great or just fails miserably, and I guess I fall into the latter category. </div>

Once again I received my ipsy bag at the end of the month. I am not sure what's causing the delay because I have been a subscriber for almost 3 years and never had this issue. But anyways, this month I received the following five products: Pacifica Power of Love Natural Lipstick, Be A Bombshell Mechanical Eyeliner, Marc Anthony Deep Conditioning Treatment, RickyCare 3D Blender, ModelCo Lip Liner.</div>
<div abp="372" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div abp="372" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="372" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong abp="0">RickyCare by Ricky's NYC 3D Blender:</strong> When I first took it out of the packet and washed it, I did not like it at all because it felt rubbery and slippery like those traditional makeup wedges. It is not light and airy so does not bounce back to its shape like beauty blender, and retains the impression for a few seconds before going back to its normal shape. Also, it holds the water inside and shrinks in size on losing the excess water. However, it works. I used it with a light weight foundation and it blended well so I am definitely going to use it and keep the beauty blender for special occasions. </div>
<div abp="372" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="372" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<strong abp="30">Em Michelle Phan Shade Play Eye Color Palette in Bali Bronzes:</strong> This was a surprise product and I honestly thought that I received it by mistake, but then later found out that all the long term members have been sent different versions of this palette. The packaging is beautiful, the display is pretty but I feel the shadows are not up to the par. The very light gold does not show up and is not even visible in the picture. The three mid toned shades are nice but the two darker ones lack pigmentation. Also, all the shades are shimmery and very similar to each other. So, overall it is not a palette that can be used on its own as it does not have enough color and texture differentiation. </div>

Once I got a really bad reaction to a clay face mask that I made using apple cider vinegar. It not only irritated my skin but also triggered eczema around my mouth. This post is all about the eyeshadows that I regret buying. But before I begin, I would like to clarify that even though these products did not work for me, I am not trashing them in any way. If you have any tips or tricks to make these work, please leave them in the comments below. Also, since its already clear that I don't like these products, so I am gonna keep it short and sweet :) </div>

<div abp="1162" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So, lets get started...</div>

<strong>Yves Rocher Quad Eyeshadow in 06 Brun Incandescent: </strong>This sumptuous color quad comes in beautiful rose gold packaging with a nice mirror and an instructions card. However, it lacks pigmentation and especially the two mid-toned shades barely show up on my skin. Retails for $20 CAD but is always on sale for $10. </div>

PCOS stands for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. It causes hormonal imbalance in women, which results in irregular periods, weight issues, hair loss, acne, excess facial and body hair (due to excess amount of the male hormones testosterone and androstenedione), depression, abdominal pain, fatigue and even infertility in some cases. However, with today's advancement in medical science, all this is treatable.</div>

<div abp="904">
PCOS is more common than you may think, it affects a wide range of women from all different ages. Even though, it is so common, I personally feel that it is still not dealt with properly. I have been diagnosed with PCOS (through ultrasound and blood work) back in 2008 and had a lot of above mentioned symptoms that bothered me, but none of the doctors I saw did anything about it, and I have been to at least 5 different GPs and 3 specialists. It has been only recently that I received help and that too because I actively asked for the medication that I thought would work for me. And this is the reason I am writing this article. Even though I have health care background and knew all along what was happening, it still took me so many years to get what worked for me. So, I can't even imagine, how many women have to struggle with this all their life without getting the appropriate assistance. So, I am going to briefly go over some issues in this post, but not all. </div>

So, lets start from the beginning. I always had irregular periods, but was told by doctors that as long as I get 6 a year, it is absolutely fine. And I was kind of fine with it, because just be honest, who likes dealing with cramps and bleeding every month? But I still insisted on getting the tests done to figure out the underlying problem, which showed what I was expecting i.e. PCOS. However, the doctor kind of brushed it off because I was having the minimum required number of periods. </div>

Acne is also a symptom of PCOS. I have struggled with acne on and off for almost 7 years. Most of my teenage years were relatively alright with occasional breakouts but the major struggle began after 20. So, even though I was diagnosed with PCOS, I was sent to the dermatologist, who prescribed me minocin, which is a popular antibiotic for acne. </div>

I have been a Julep maven for about two years. Its a great service with free shipping and new colors every month. This months theme was All That Glitters and I got the IT girl box. It came with three nail colors and a cinnamon flavored candy cane along with a coupon for free nail polish. </div>

<span abp="660" style="font-family: inherit;">The infamous you tuber Fleur De Force recently came out with her own makeup line, which is available exclusively on feelunique. I picked up Lunar Rose because I already have tons of browns and I am currently kind of obsessed with pink shadows. I paid $12.38 CAD for it. </span></div>

</div>
<div abp="4" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Red and gold are the perfect festive colors for the holiday season. But I came up with this combination while looking for something to go with my red Indian suit with coppery golden stone work as red nail polish alone was just not enough. </div>
<div abp="4" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div abp="4" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Side note: It was really difficult to take the pictures because firstly, the sparkly golden shade over red looks different from different angles and secondly, the shine made it hard to capture the real beauty of the combination. So, I would recommend you to try this combination once to see how pretty it is because the pictures are not doing it justice. </div>

<div abp="236" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This month my ipsy bag arrived really late. Usually it is here in the second week but this time I got it almost at the end of the month. But anyways, for $20.21 CAD I received five products: Coolway Strong Hold Spray, Inspr Eyeshadow, Model Co Highlighting Trio, Trestique Lip Crayon and Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara. </div>

Today's nail look is mix of deep dark chocolaty brown polish topped with rose gold sparkle. Even though it does not look like it but for some reason it reminds me of Ferrero Rocher packaging, I know that's totally random but it does. </div>

This is probably one of the most talked about mascara's of this line. It comes and in an orange tube and has a huge round plastic wand with tiny bristles all around. The bristles kind of tapper off towards the tip, which makes it easier to go over the tiny lashes in the inner corners of the eyes. It's wand looks very similar to the Fusion (purple tube), which I have used in the past. Fusion is targeted towards both length and volume while Volume is specifically marketed as a volumizing mascara and I personally found that the Volume version gave me more defined and fuller lashes as compared to Fusion. So, I would definitely repurchase it. </div>

It comes in a really nice vibrant green tube and has a curved brush. It has a plastic wand with smaller bristles on the edges and slightly longer in the middle. It does give nice definition to the lashes but not as much as the Lash Blast Volume. Even though, now I am used to the curved brush but I found it a little bit odd in the beginning. Also, I really do not understand the point of having a mascara specifically targeted towards clump free lashes as none of the other Lash Blast mascara's give clumpy lashes due to the tiny closely placed bristles. So, it is not my favorite and I would probably not repurchase it. </div>

It comes in a beautiful pink tube and has a slightly thinner and longer wand as compared to Volume. Also, the bristles are not as tightly packed so for me it takes a couple of extra strokes to get the desired volume. In addition, even though there are tiny bristles on the top of the tip for inner corner lashes, but those bristles are almost unusable because the stopper does not clean off the excess product from the tip so usually there is a lump of mascara there. Also, the main selling point behind this mascara is that even after putting it on, the lashes are soft to touch. But for me personally, that it is not a big deal unless a mascara is uncomfortable to wear or it is so dry and crunchy that it flakes off. However, with that being said, this is a nice mascara that gives me decent amount of definition but still it is not as good as the Volume, so I would probably not repurchase it. </div>

Today I received my Ipsy bag in the mail and this month's theme is 19 reasons, which I think, has something to do with new year's resolutions. The products came in a nice sky blue bag. However, I felt that this months bag is quite plain and boring when a new years theme could have made it way more glamorous and cool.<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Yvs5aFYdSrY/UtYSkk4tbcI/AAAAAAAAAtw/jJ0-bVCSQvA/s1600/100_2776.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Yvs5aFYdSrY/UtYSkk4tbcI/AAAAAAAAAtw/jJ0-bVCSQvA/s320/100_2776.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Willa Naturals On The Go Face Towelettes:</b> There are 10 lavender scented moist towelettes in a very compact pack, making it perfect for traveling. However, I found the scent to be somewhat off and not very pleasant. Also, I would prefer the L.A. Colors wipes that I received in a previous Ipsy bag over these Willa ones, because of all the unnecessary ingredients used. <br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-u9qowU5cJXs/UtYSl-fWwzI/AAAAAAAAAt4/EU3INcjqt3g/s1600/100_2778.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="169" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-u9qowU5cJXs/UtYSl-fWwzI/AAAAAAAAAt4/EU3INcjqt3g/s320/100_2778.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Tri-Wheat Leave In Conditioner: </b>This is a more natural and supposedly healthy leave in conditioner i.e. made with soy and cocoa. I have not used it yet but I'm definitely looking forward to it. Also, this is one of the only products that I am excited to try from this month's bag.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-C8mnY4PNzS4/UtYShaBQnxI/AAAAAAAAAto/k2_ibqOAkTE/s1600/100_2783.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-C8mnY4PNzS4/UtYShaBQnxI/AAAAAAAAAto/k2_ibqOAkTE/s320/100_2783.JPG" width="316" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<b>Elizabeth Mott Smooth Shadow in Penny: </b>Firstly, this pencil looks more like a liner than a shadow pencil. Secondly, it is quite sheer and needs a couple of swipes to build up some color that still looks very light. Therefore, I am definitely not going to swipe this tiny pencil back and forth on my eyelids. However, it does not budge once it sets, I literally had to scrub my hand with soap to get off the color and there is still some left. As far as the color is concerned, it is a true copper color with noticeable shimmer particles. On a side note, this is my second product from this brand that was sent by Ipsy, first being a mascara and unfortunately I don't like either of the two. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Elizabeth Mott Smooth Shadow Pencil vs NYX Jumbo Pencil</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Nourish Organic Lightweight Moisturizing Face Lotion: </b>I have never heard about this product before so I went onto their website to have a look at it. I found that it is formulated with all organic plant based ingredients and without any chemicals and parabens. Also, the 50 ml bottle of this product comes with a pump and retails for only $21.99. However, the issue is that I understand, it is a lightweight product but despite of ingredients like argan oil, almond oil, vitamin e, shea butter etc, it is just not moisturizing so I'll not buy it.</div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--Z2WX0DSpM4/UtYTTJM6mbI/AAAAAAAAAuM/JQkGzXvaUAo/s1600/100_2805.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--Z2WX0DSpM4/UtYTTJM6mbI/AAAAAAAAAuM/JQkGzXvaUAo/s320/100_2805.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<b>Mica Beauty Tinted Lip Balm in Natural: </b>As you all know I am not a huge fan of this kind of pot packaging due to hygiene reasons. Other than that, the color is really beautiful rosy nude shade and the product is more like a lipstick than a lip balm as it is quite concentrated and sets to a semi-matte finish. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JBrng_Y6c9Y/UtYTTFQ3vgI/AAAAAAAAAuI/cQGZ5mWfzOA/s1600/100_2811.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JBrng_Y6c9Y/UtYTTFQ3vgI/AAAAAAAAAuI/cQGZ5mWfzOA/s320/100_2811.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Overall, this months bag was a fail for me as I liked only one product i.e. the Healthy Sexy Hair Leave In Conditioner and that is the only that that I am probably going to use out of all. Also, it is not just what I received but all the products listed under myglam this month are kind of blah. Apart from that, I found the theme to be quite boring and not special enough to represent the new year. Hopefully, next month there will be something interesting for Valentines day. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

Today's nail look is somewhat different for me because normally I do not wear glitter polish on all the nails at once as it is a pain to take off. However, this time I made an exception because my original plan of glitter accent with a nudey mauve shade didn't go well. </div>

<div abp="72" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The polish that I used is Clio by Julep and to be honest I am quite disappointed with it. I bought several glitter polishes from Julep last month and based on how it looks in the bottle I thought this one is going to be my favorite, which unfortunately it isn't. In the bottle, it looks very condensed and multidimensional with beautiful pinkish rose gold specks mixed in with silver and gunmetal glitter. However, the problem is that on the nails it looks like plain flat silver glitter. </div>
<div abp="73">

<div abp="74" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a abp="75" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tJ6e2x5AlP8/UtIOVcK5RoI/AAAAAAAAAtY/OjKk_QWYgk4/s1600/100_2740.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img abp="76" border="0" height="183" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tJ6e2x5AlP8/UtIOVcK5RoI/AAAAAAAAAtY/OjKk_QWYgk4/s1600/100_2740.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div abp="77" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div abp="78" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Also, another issues is that I had to use thick four coats to get this look and I can still see some gaps in between. I think next time I am going to layer it over a darker color for some added depth and intensity. However, on a side note, I really like the silver top of this polish as regular Julep polishes come with a black cap. </div>

Few days ago, I went to Sephora and was amazed at the wide range of sale item as it is quite rare in my area. One thing that instantly caught my eye was Smashbox Soft Box palette. This palette usually retails for $44 but was on sale for only $23. There are three similar palettes in the regular line, however, I believe this was a limited edition one. I always wanted to try Smashbox's infamous photo op formula but never did, so, this time I had to pick it up because both the colors and the price were appropriate. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-n3e8ssT_kSQ/Us90huClmLI/AAAAAAAAAsc/vILbIq2cvpI/s1600/100_2703.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-n3e8ssT_kSQ/Us90huClmLI/AAAAAAAAAsc/vILbIq2cvpI/s1600/100_2703.JPG" height="216" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Packaging: </b>The box is classic black with raised shiny imprint on it. It is quite compact and sturdy. However, it is one of those kinds that easily get dirty and show every single touch mark on them, so quite a let down. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GxHkLTZI51U/Us90yWoEvFI/AAAAAAAAAso/mJhtvOT674w/s1600/100_2706.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GxHkLTZI51U/Us90yWoEvFI/AAAAAAAAAso/mJhtvOT674w/s1600/100_2706.JPG" height="177" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Layout: </b>There are six shadows laid out in two rows along with a decent quality brush. However, where one side of the brush is flat shader, I don't know why the other side is such a tiny precision or a smudger instead of the usual blending brush. The only issue I have with the layout is that the names of individual shadows are printed on a loose clear plastic sheet, which is a hassle to keep in place.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Color Selection:</b> There are three matte and three shimmery shades. One half of the colors belong to coppery brown family while the other half belong to purply taupe's. However, all the colors are great to put together a neutral eye look. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-B3TOHW1nvsQ/Us90g-rQRNI/AAAAAAAAAsQ/Bx-4lU-VJ8o/s1600/100_2687.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-B3TOHW1nvsQ/Us90g-rQRNI/AAAAAAAAAsQ/Bx-4lU-VJ8o/s1600/100_2687.JPG" height="172" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Russet, Truffle, Bare, Juniper, Sandstorm, Sumatra</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Texture & Pigmentation: </b>All the colors are very soft and creamy on touch. Some of them are more pigmented than others. Truffle, Juniper and Sumatra show up way more subtle than they are in the pan. </div>
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RRzC3rZ347s/Us90hHGJvbI/AAAAAAAAAsU/-_b8xu0x29A/s1600/100_2689.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RRzC3rZ347s/Us90hHGJvbI/AAAAAAAAAsU/-_b8xu0x29A/s1600/100_2689.JPG" height="177" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Russet, Truffle, Bare, Juniper, Sandstorm, Sumatra</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Russet:</b> A beautiful shimmery coppery brown. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Truffle: </b>A cool toned grayish taupe.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Bare:</b> A very light nude pink.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Juniper:</b> A muted purple with golden shimmer. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Sandstorm:</b> A true shimmery champagne gold. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Sumatra: </b>A cool toned medium chocolate brown. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Overall, I really like this palette, especially at the price I got it for. The shadows are not overly intense but really good for everyday looks. Also, I like the mishmash of cool and warm toned shadows in one palette. As I said earlier, I have picked it up just a few days ago and there were at least thirty more palettes on the shelf that day so most probably you can still find it at Sephora stores near you. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Do you own this or any other versions of this palette? If yes, which one? And do you like it?</div>

</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The China Glaze nail polish Strike Up A Cosmo was released earlier last year as a part of their Autumn Nights Collection along with eleven other beautiful shades. But even after a year of release, all the colors are still readily available. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aIPRGyPf6vs/Usn94hJOSZI/AAAAAAAAArg/394vxqgvOFs/s1600/100_2653.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aIPRGyPf6vs/Usn94hJOSZI/AAAAAAAAArg/394vxqgvOFs/s1600/100_2653.JPG" height="320" width="227" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Strike Up A Cosmo is a pinky rosegold shimmery shade, which is marketed as a foil finish by the company. The consistency is really nice and goes on opaque in just one coat. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kfkRikCChCY/Usn_7HKdJgI/AAAAAAAAAsA/FhwX24y8MwE/s1600/100_2652.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kfkRikCChCY/Usn_7HKdJgI/AAAAAAAAAsA/FhwX24y8MwE/s1600/100_2652.JPG" height="320" width="255" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
In the pictures, I have two coats of polish along with a regular base and top coat. As I said earlier, one coat is enough to get the color in the bottle but I used two just because I always do that. I have few other colors from this line that I'll share in the future posts. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Do you have any polishes from this collection? If yes, then which one is your favorite?</div>

Over the past few weeks, my hands have been super dry and cracking. But more recently, they have been on the verge of bleeding. I tried a lot of hand creams and oils but nothing really worked so I decided to try cake beauty line, which is known for its hand creams. It is a Canadian brand, which is available at Sephora, Target and Shoppers Drug Mart.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I picked up Cake Beauty's Deep Affection set from Sephora for $38+taxes. It comes with a hand cream and a body balm, which individually retails for $22 (100ml) and $26 (236ml) respectively, so this set isn't a value set but just two good products packed together in a cute box. However, I feel it is still a better deal than the other set that comes with three hand creams (30 ml each) for $30 because not only this set has almost three times more product but both the heavy cream and the body balm works really well for hands. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IX77VwmeyPU/UrTdFKW8DVI/AAAAAAAAAqw/d0Bf--UX9kI/s1600/100_2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IX77VwmeyPU/UrTdFKW8DVI/AAAAAAAAAqw/d0Bf--UX9kI/s320/100_2529.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Even though, it is not a value set but the bright pink sturdy box makes it a perfect gift for all age groups as everyone needs something extra during these winter months. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-10oIP4kdDM8/UrTdDW08OyI/AAAAAAAAAqo/esrPM9rD_PY/s1600/100_2533.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-10oIP4kdDM8/UrTdDW08OyI/AAAAAAAAAqo/esrPM9rD_PY/s320/100_2533.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Heavy Cream Intensive Repair Hand Balm: </b>This is an amazing product with delicious vanilla-cake-bakery-kind of scent. It may sound too good to be true but it honestly made a difference after just two uses. The consistency of the cream is very thick and it holds the shape once squeezed out of the tube. However, in-spite of the richness of the formula, the product soaks into the skin instantly. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gC6YvMVBeFo/UrTdGZ01SGI/AAAAAAAAAq0/3azT116q1ew/s1600/100_2538.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gC6YvMVBeFo/UrTdGZ01SGI/AAAAAAAAAq0/3azT116q1ew/s320/100_2538.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Heavy Cream Intensive Body Balm:</b> Just like the hand cream, this balm has an amazing scent which is comparatively a little sweeter and even more delicious. The consistency is somewhat different as it is a body balm but still equally moisturizing. I have tried it on my hands and it works really well and that is what I am planning to use it for. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Both the products are formulated without parabens, mineral oils, phthalates, petrolatum etc. and with 20% shea butter, thus they have long term skin benefits. Overall, it is a great duo which can be given as a luxurious Christmas gift to anyone or as a treat to oneself.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Have you tried Cake beauty? What are some of your favorite products from this line?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thank you for taking time to read this post, I hope you enjoyed it. Have a great day!</div>

I finally received my Ipsy Bag in the mail yesterday. All the products are centered around the celebration theme. Everything came in a black patent leather bag, which is quite nice and chic. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Qfmzc1emHRU/UquDGGPMA2I/AAAAAAAAApk/ElOHJigmByQ/s1600/100_2554.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="189" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Qfmzc1emHRU/UquDGGPMA2I/AAAAAAAAApk/ElOHJigmByQ/s1600/100_2554.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I kind of liked this months bag for the most part except one product i.e. the bombshell stick. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hEy0VRQsGZA/UquDOmWrQxI/AAAAAAAAAps/Z4Abq_OMcCo/s1600/100_2559.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hEy0VRQsGZA/UquDOmWrQxI/AAAAAAAAAps/Z4Abq_OMcCo/s1600/100_2559.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Pop Beauty Eye Shadow Trio in Naturally Bare: </b>I am glad that I got this neutral trio instead of the smokey one. I am not a huge fan of the giant floral design on the compact. Actually, I find the Pop Beauty packaging quite gaudy in general and this trio isn't any exception. All three colors are shimmery and have decent pigmentation. However, the darkest shade is disappointing because it took several swipes to build up the swatch. Since I have it so I'll use it but these days even drugstore eye shadows have raised their bar so I have no desire to repurchase or to try other versions of this line.However, it is a full sized trio so I am glad I got to try it. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ADTyh7207Wk/UquDC4PGRLI/AAAAAAAAApc/wCb5cEi0vHY/s1600/100_2570.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="260" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ADTyh7207Wk/UquDC4PGRLI/AAAAAAAAApc/wCb5cEi0vHY/s1600/100_2570.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>NYX Lipstick in B52:</b> I love NYX lip products and own several lipstick shades from this line. I always wanted to get this shade so I am glad I got it in this bag. It is a beautiful deep mauve shade that is very smooth and creamy. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-w3thUjA-j7I/UquDkF-nFXI/AAAAAAAAAp0/DXFoDZdaP2g/s1600/100_2574.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-w3thUjA-j7I/UquDkF-nFXI/AAAAAAAAAp0/DXFoDZdaP2g/s1600/100_2574.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Be a Bombshell The One Stick in Girl Crush:</b> This has to be the worst product out of all this month. It goes on very unevenly and feels somewhat crumbly. It is packed with lots of gold glitter and the color blends into nothing leaving specks of glitter all over the place. Usually, I try to utilize everything I have but this is something that will go straight in the trash. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HjCn2j-0eVE/UquDrJ1G6TI/AAAAAAAAAp8/R_akB-pjxC0/s1600/100_2582.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HjCn2j-0eVE/UquDrJ1G6TI/AAAAAAAAAp8/R_akB-pjxC0/s1600/100_2582.JPG" width="285" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Nicka K New York Nail Polish:</b> This has to be one of the most beautiful nail polish bottle I own that deserves to sit on the vanity. The polish itself is a gorgeous deep red shade but has very strong pungent smell like those of cheap polishes. Also, unfortunately it doesn't have a name on it. Nonetheless, I am glad I got it because I absolutely love the bottle and the coppery bronze lid. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Demeter Snow Roll On Perfume Oil:</b> Firstly, I am really happy that it is an actual usable roll on tube rather than the tiny sample. Secondly, I really like the soft scent. I know it may sound odd but the scent makes me feel somewhat nostalgic, it takes me a few years back but I don't clearly remember when and where? I have been continuously sniffing it so that I can recall something and calm down my curiosity but it is not helping :(. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Overall, I really liked this bag for the size and variety of products. The only thing that is not even worth trying is the Be a Bombshell stick, other than that, I feel everything else is usable. </div>

This past week, we finally got the first snow of the season in Toronto and to celebrate that I pulled out my deep dark nail polishes. I love using glitters along with dark colors as they not only add a dimension to the look but also accentuates the dark tones. </div>

I absolutely love this berry and rose gold combination, and as always I used the colored polish under the glitter to tie up everything together. Also, it aids in the glitter removal later. </div>

The colors that I used are Maybelline Express Finish in Berry Fancy (2 coats) and Julep Nail Color in Jane (1coat). I really liked this line of Maybelline polishes but unfortunately, it has been discontinued. However, you can use any dark berry color. The Julep nail polish is a full coverage rose gold glitter which goes on opaque in just one coat. However, unfortunately Julep glitter polishes get somewhat goopy in the tube after a while. </div>

The Julep polish is on sale in a set for $14.99 right now along with three other glitter polishes. So, if you are interested then I would highly recommend you to pick it up now. </div>
